Bella was a playful golden retriever who loved chasing anything that moved—sticks, leaves, or even bubbles! But one sunny afternoon at the park, she noticed something very unusual: a big red balloon tied to a little boy’s wrist. Bella wagged her tail excitedly and stared at the balloon as it swayed and bounced in the wind. “Woof!” she barked, as if to say, What a fun toy! 

 

Suddenly, a gust of wind pulled the balloon free, and it floated up, up, and away! The boy cried, 

"My balloon!" Bella sprang into action, determined to save the day. She darted through the park, her ears flapping and her paws flying. The balloon was drifting fast, and Bella had to think quickly. She leaped over a picnic blanket, dashed past the playground, and splashed through a puddle, but the balloon stayed just out of reach. 

 

Finally, Bella spotted the balloon snagged on a tree branch near the duck pond. With a mighty jump, Bella grabbed the balloon string gently in her teeth. Carefully, she trotted back to the little boy, wagging her tail proudly. The boy hugged Bella and said, “You’re the best dog ever!” As the boy held the balloon tightly this time, Bella lay down in the grass, happy and proud of her heroic rescue. From that day on, Bella became the park’s unofficial balloon saver, ready for her next big adventure!
