In a sunny forest, a chipmunk named Pip wanted to find the biggest acorn. Every summer, all the animals in the forest—rabbits, deer, birds, squirrels, and even the beavers—had a big party. At the party, the animal with the biggest acorn won the Sparkling Acorn Trophy. Pip wanted to win, so he decided to find the biggest acorn in the forest. 

 

Pip got his little red wagon and started looking for acorns. He looked under bushes and inside logs. He climbed trees and checked the ground. He found a few acorns, but they were not big enough. Then Pip saw something shiny on top of a tall hill. He climbed the hill, and there it was! The biggest acorn Pip had ever seen. It was big, round, and perfect. Pip smiled and put it in his wagon. 

 

The hill was steep, and as Pip pulled the wagon, the big acorn rolled out. It bounced down the hill and rolled faster and faster. Pip ran after it. The acorn bounced past a rabbit, jumped over a rock, and splashed into a river. Pip stood by the river, worried. Just then, his friends, the beavers, swam over. They used their strong tails to push the acorn back to the shore. 

 

Pip rolled the big acorn to the party just in time. Everyone cheered when they saw it. It was the biggest acorn of all! Pip won the Sparkling Acorn Trophy. He was happy, but he shared it with his friends. They all celebrated together, laughing and smiling.
