When you shop on AmazonSmile, Amazon’s Foundation contributes 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charity of your choice. It’s a small amount — just 0.5% donated for every dollar you spend. So if you spend $100, $0.50 goes to your preferred charity. But it can add up throughout the year and remember — this is Amazon donating. You don’t have to donate a thing.
There is no cost to Amazon customers or the charities; 100% of the donation generated from eligible purchases goes to the shopper’s charity of choice. For frequent Amazon users, this process is a great way to generate donations from Amazon to the designated charity.
